Explaination of different types of sites:

Basic Sites:
Basic sites contain static text and images. Static text will not change unless modified by you or changes are requested to be done by us. A basic page should not have more than 3 images per page. One e-mail based contact form is included. Basic sites can provide information that does not change often. This type of site is great for people to provide information that does not change to visitors.

Advanced Sites:
Advanced sites will contain pages with database driven content. These types of sites will be more configurable and have the ability to be updated by using an admin page. An advanced site is for someone that needs a web page that easy to update with new content or easy to update the current information. Advanced sites can also have a log in system with features available to people who have registered for your site. This is good for tracking information and gathering user information. Advanced sites can also have the ability for users to upload information to your site and even a custom based store system.

Open Source Set Up:
Open Source packages are free solutions that anyone can use to host pictures, start discussion forums, and even manage an entire website. Depending on the software you choose they can be very easy to use and provide a low cost solutions for starting a website with various features. Most open source packages can take the place of a custom "advanced" site for a fraction of the cost. Some of the Open-Source packages we regularly support are: PhpBB, PHP-Nuke, Menalto Gallery, OSCommerce, and Joomla. We can support others as well, just provide us with a link to the Open Source package you are interested in.

Domains
Domains are your "name" on the internet. We can take care of registering a domain for you, or take over a domain you already have. We use GoDaddy for domain registration because of their ability to get the domain working faster than anyone else. If you need assistance with finding a domain name that is not already in use, we suggest Bust a Name as a very easy solution.

Hosting
Hosting starts at $11.95/month and for the most part has no space or bandwidth limitations. If you are using enough bandwidth or disk space to affect other customers we may suggest moving you to your own server, but that is handled on a case by case basis. Our server is housed in a secure data center with multiple high-speed connections to the internet. All data is stored on a redundant RAID array to keep your data safe, and offsite backups are run regularly in case of total hardware failure or in the case of a disaster at the data center. You can feel confident that your website will always be safe. FTP access for uploading files is standard and Shell access can be requested. Our server is ready to handle any PHP, SQL, or Mail needs. We can install any other tools or packages by request.
